How it works
Once the Mac is connected to Drobo, backups are transparent to an end user who is using Time Machine. Designed to automatically backup files, Time Machine keeps a continual chain of backups over time, allowing users to easily recover individual files or an entire crashed drive.
The longer Time Machine is used, the more data storage it requires. The advantage of Drobo is that it is infinitely expandable and provides RAID-like reliability.
