DanCake New ID
DanCake has a new identity for 2008.

I couldn’t help notice some inconsistencies on the brand beziers flow and could help myself from suggesting a more sweet typeface to see if the things looked better. I strongly advise all the food rebrands/packaging to check Hubert Jocham work as first digging. His work is brilliant and i’ve decided to try the DROP typeface to see if it would improve the brand.

My guess is that people get easily stressed on seeing suggestions that most of time are taken as an insult to the original work (check Johnson Banks blog about the BT/T-Mobile fuzz as a recent reference), but for all that’s worth everytime I do this, it’s a mental exercise on “how would I do this”. Showing it or not takes some consideration, and I only do it if I think the ID would improve, and ultimatly we can learn something in between for future works. Or maybe not ;D
